Most people like fruits, do you? Join this class led by Swarnali & Christina to explore the world of genetically modified fruit and selective breeding. We’ll learn how some fruits have changed over time and how those changes affect our health. We'll focus on health, environmental, and economic effects. For example, the lack of biodiversity and the patenting of fruits, such as pink pineapples, and Monsanto seeds.

Christina is 20 years old and a junior at Stony Brook University, majoring in biology. She is interested in evolution, marine ecosystems, and organisms. Christina is from Queens, NY, and excited to be presenting to you! Swarnali is 20 years old and a junior at Stony Brook University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering.
