The Medicare system can be confusing, with its different plans. Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage Plan – what's the difference, and which option is best for you? What are the deadlines if you are joining Medicare for the first time, or for changing your current Medicare plan? This presentation provides a basic overview of the different parts that make up Medicare, and the different eligibility requirements based on disability, age, and employment situation.

Vivienne Duncan, Esq. is the Director of the Cancer Advocacy (CAP) and Elderlaw Projects at the City Bar Justice Center. She has been the director of the CAP since 2009, which provides cancer patients and survivors with pro bono (no-cost) legal information and assistance. Ms. Duncan can practice law in the US & England. Ms. Duncan worked at the UN in NY & as an in-house attorney for a U.K. company. She is a graduate of the University of Sussex (LLB/JD), & University College London (LLM), in the U.K.
