Put on your detective hat and join Dennis in searching for clues in your emails. Is that email a good one, or is it spam? Or could it be the worst type of phishing scam? Learn how to identify these types and what to do about them. The workshop will be oriented to Windows computers, but the basic ideas apply to other computers, tablets, and cell phones.

Dennis Dater grew up in Los Angeles and lives on the coast in Oregon with his wife and 13-year-old dog. He attended his first programming course in 1965 and has taught courses in six different states, including a six-week course to the Canadian Air Force.

Before moving to Oregon, he and his wife owned a printing company in San Diego for 25 years. Recently, he completed nine years of teaching AARP Driver Safety to senior drivers and 12 years of teaching and supporting members of the local senior’s computer club.
