As one of the most basic and fundamental art forms across the world, working with yarn in crocheting, knitting, etc., spans cultures and time periods. From ancient times till today, yarn work has been a familiar and fun form of expression. In this presentation, we will explore the history, techniques, and impacts of yarn work on art, science, and politics.

Christina is 20 years old and a junior at Stony Brook University, majoring in biology. She is interested in evolution, marine ecosystems, and organisms. Christina is from Queens, NY, and excited to be presenting to you!
