Life Skills | Shortcut Tips & Tricks for life! w/ Mariam S.

As we go through life, we find ways of doing everyday tasks that are unique to us. We come up with “hacks” – ways to get things done more quickly, or more easily.

Some people boil eggs while they’re still immersed in water to make peeling them easier. My mother taught me how to use talcum powder to remove oil stains from my clothes! Others have learned to use ice on stuck chewing gum to remove it. What are some tricks and tips you learnt from your grandparents and parents and what are some you created to pass on to your family? Come share your genius with your friends and learn something new!

Mariam is a 2nd year Master of Social Work Student at the University at Albany. She is particularly interested in working with older adults. Mariam was formerly an art teacher, an actor, and a chef and continues to explore her artistic side in her free time.
