Wellness | Effective Communication Strategies for Dementia Caregivers w/ Francesca T.

Please join Francesca, a volunteer community educator for the LI Chapter of the Alzheimers Association. This program provides practical information and resources to help dementia care partners learn to decode verbal and behavioral messages from people living with dementia. It is helpful in many ways for all.

Francesca Todaro has been a volunteer with ALZ for 2 years. She is happy to be a part of the organization because the cause is close to her heart; her grandma had Alzheimer’s, and her father has a form of dementia. Seeing what they went through and the impact on her family has opened her eyes to what having a support system can do. To her surprise, having a Master’s degree in psychology did not prepare her for the emotional impact of the diseases.

Francesca strongly believes that connecting people to resources is one of the best forms of support that you can give anyone affected by the disease to help them live their best life.
